Women's Ministries

Welcome, we are glad you are here!  This page is a resource for the ladies of Grace to receive information about events, Bible studies, and outreach programs geared toward and for women.  Please click here to view the leadership team and the committees.

Mission Statement:
The Women’s Ministry at Grace Bible Church is ministry by and to the women of GBC to encourage them in ever-growing love for Christ, and their neighbors. Our purpose is to equip women to use their gifts and joyfully embrace their God ordained roles in every stage of life. Our desire is to connect generations, through prayer, Christ-centered fellowship, Bible study, discipleship, and works of service for the glory of God and the growth of His Kingdom.

The mission of the Events Committee is “Creating gatherings for women to authentically connect while deepening their relationships with each other and the Lord.”  The committee plans five main events during the year, which are listed below. The events are open to every woman in the church, and we welcome friends and guests!

Year Round: Lunch Bunch
Join us for a meal and time of fellowship - kids are welcome!  Lunch Bunch meets the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month at noon, and we rotate locations. Below is the summer schedule.  As always, please let us know if you have a location request! We usually send reminders in the church ladies' GroupMe, so please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page if you would like to be added to this group. We hope to see you there!
May 16: Tallahatchie Gourmet
June 20: Thacker 564
July 18: Lost Pizza Company

August: Welcome Back Fiesta!
2018 Date is TBD.
Location: Middle School Cafeteria
The welcome back event is hosted on a Sunday immediately following the worship service at the Middle School.  This event is designed to give the women of Grace an opportunity to reconnect after the summer break and to learn about upcoming studies, service opportunities and events, and become plugged in to areas of interest. We would love to help you find your place in the ministry.

November: Women's Retreat
November 9th & 10th, 2018
Location: The Inn at Ole Miss
Check back soon for registration info!
Our annual retreat is held in November, on a Friday evening and Saturday morning. The theme changes each year, as does the location and speaker(s). The retreat is designed to be the event that provides the deepest level of connection with each other and with the Lord. The retreat includes dinner on Friday, breakfast on Saturday, materials, and a t-shirt.

December: Favorite Things
2018 Date is TBD.
Location is TBD.
This fun event is a time of fellowship while trading inexpensive gifts (your "favorite thing") in the spirit of Christmas, and is usually hosted at a church member's home. Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share, and one wrapped gift under $10.

February: Testimony or Teaching
2019 Date is TBD.
Location is TBD.
This event provides time for the women of Grace to hear a testimony or teaching from one of our church members, and is an opportunity to strengthen knowledge of Biblical truths.

May: Picnic in the Park
2019 Date is TBD.
Location: Pat Lamar Park (off of Country Club Rd)

Meet us at the park for an evening of finger foods, fellowship, and fun. We will sit in small groups on blankets and quilts, and reflect on what the Lord has taught us this spring, and what we’d like to learn this summer. Small group leaders will facilitate our discussions to gather your thoughts on what you’d like to see offered by the women’s ministry the following year.

Graceful Legacy:

The purpose of the Graceful women’s ministry legacy of grace team is to provide community for women of Grace Bible Church to study God’s word together, as well as opportunities to foster discipleship and mentor relationships.

Women’s Bible Study: Join us this summer as we study the book "The Prodigal God" by Tim Keller on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Study begins June 13th. Contact Kevie O’Haver ( ) to reserve your book.

Daily Grace: Graceful Women's ministry has created a Facebook group for women who would like to encourage each other as we read through the entire Bible this year using the ESV chronological reading guide.  Click the image to join!

GEMS: (Glorifying, Encouraging, Mentoring, & Serving) is a ministry geared to married women and mothers who desire an intimate walk with the Lord as they learn and apply the biblical principles found in Titus 2. Join us the 4th Tuesday of each month 6:30-9 PM at 21006 Wills Trace as we explore the marriage relationship in great detail and investigate what it means to love sacrificially, serve selflessly, submit whole heartedly, communicate quietly, and entwine intimately. Dinner and dessert will be served.  Next GEMS: May 22. Questions? Contact Jennifer Fassinger.

The mission of the outreach committee is to encourage, communicate, and connect women to ministries in our local community. Listed below are several ministries that Graceful Women's Ministry currently supports; please contact the Outreach Team if you would like to be involved with any of these (or suggest others, if you know of other needs).
