Welcome, we are glad you are here! This page is a resource for the ladies of Grace to receive information about events, Bible studies, and outreach programs geared toward and for women. Please click here to view the leadership team and the committees.
The Women’s Ministry at Grace Bible Church is ministry by and to the women of GBC to encourage them in ever-growing love for Christ, and their neighbors. Our purpose is to equip women to use their gifts and joyfully embrace their God ordained roles in every stage of life. Our desire is to connect generations, through prayer, Christ-centered fellowship, Bible study, discipleship, and works of service for the glory of God and the growth of His Kingdom.
The mission of the Events Committee is “Creating gatherings for women to authentically connect while deepening their relationships with each other and the Lord.” The committee plans five main events during the year, which are listed below. The events are open to every woman in the church, and we welcome friends and guests!
Year Round: Lunch Bunch
Join us for a meal and time of fellowship - kids are welcome! Lunch Bunch meets once a month at different restaurants in town; below is the schedule. As always, please let us know if you have a location request! We usually send reminders in the church ladies' GroupMe, so please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page if you would like to be added to this group. The next Lunch Bunch is September 27 at Beagle Bagel.
November: Women's Retreat
November 9th & 10th, 2018
Location: The Inn at Ole Miss
Click here for more info & to register
Our annual retreat is held in November, on a Friday evening and Saturday morning. This year's theme is KNOWN: Knowing God and Being Known by Him, and our keynote speaker is Meg Robbins. The retreat is designed to be the event that provides the deepest level of connection with each other and with the Lord. The retreat includes dinner on Friday, breakfast on Saturday, materials, and a t-shirt. Invite a friend!
December: Favorite Things
December 9th, 2018
Location: Deborah Smith's Home
This fun event is a time of fellowship while trading inexpensive gifts (your "favorite thing") in the spirit of Christmas, and is usually hosted at a church member's home. Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share, and one wrapped gift under $10. Please also let us know if you'd like to host this even in your home this year.
February: Testimony or Teaching
2019 Date is TBD.
Location is TBD.
This event provides time for the women of Grace to hear a testimony or teaching from one of our church members, and is an opportunity to strengthen knowledge of Biblical truths. This is also a time of sweet fellowship as the women of the church come together and share what the Lord is doing in their lives.
May: Picnic in the Park
2019 Date is TBD.
Location: Pat Lamar Park
Meet us at the park for an evening of finger foods, fellowship, and fun. We will sit in small groups on blankets and quilts, and reflect on what the Lord has taught us this spring, and what we’d like to learn this summer. Small group leaders will facilitate our discussions to gather your thoughts on what you’d like to see offered by the women’s ministry.
August: Welcome Back Fiesta!
Fall 2019 Date is TBD
Location: Middle School Cafeteria
Join us for a quick lunch right after the service, and connect with the women of Grace as we TACO BOUT upcoming events, Bible studies, service opportunities and more! Please come and bring a friend - our prayer is that ALL women of the church feel welcome and invited to be a part of this ministry, and learn about opportunities to serve.
The purpose of the Graceful women’s ministry legacy of grace team is to provide community for women of Grace Bible Church to study God’s word together, as well as opportunities to foster discipleship and mentor relationships.
Women’s Bible Study: This Fall our Women's Bible Study groups will be studying the book of James. Three study groups are available: Tuesdays at 9:30 am (childcare available), Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Thursdays at 7:30 am. All studies will meet at the Heritage Dr. offices. If any women who are interested in attending an evening group, please contact Kevie O’Haver (
Daily Grace: Graceful Women's ministry has created a Facebook group for women who would like to encourage each other as we read through the entire Bible this year using the ESV chronological reading guide. Click the image to join!
GEMS: (Glorifying, Encouraging, Mentoring, & Serving) is a ministry geared to young married women and mothers who desire an intimate walk with the Lord as they learn and apply the biblical principles found in Titus 2. The acronym GEMS symbolizes Glorifying, Encouraging, Mentoring, and Serving. We are beginning our Parenting with Eternal Perspective Facet which encourages women to embrace their mandate in Scripture as mothers. Women are then prepared to teach their children that they also have a mandate in Scripture to follow. Mothers are equipped to examine the ripe and rotten fruit that springs up in the hearts of their children so they can begin to effectively sow seeds of righteousness through the use of biblical training and biblical discipline. Join us the fourth Tuesday of each month 6:30-9:30 PM. Dinner and dessert will be served. Fall dates for GEMS: September 18 (Note: this is a date change), October 23, November 27. Call or text Jennifer Fassinger for location or more information at 216-333-0595.
The mission of the outreach committee is to encourage, communicate, and connect women to ministries in our local community. Listed below are several ministries that Graceful Women's Ministry currently supports; please contact the Outreach Team if you would like to be involved with any of these (or suggest others, if you know of other needs).
