Community Groups

“Something more than a supper club, but less than a Bible Study”

Join a Group

What is a community group?

Grace is committed to opportunities where our people can develop strong, biblical friendships. Community groups provide this opportunity. They are more than a supper club, but less than a Bible study. A place where we can be ourselves and carry out gospel centered relationships.

Through our small group ministry, we hope that strong friendships will be forged across age, race and geographic boundaries and where 1 Thessalonians 2:8 will come alive. “So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.”

When do they meet?

Our groups meet every week, usually Sunday afternoons or evenings, throughout the semester. We take June and July off as well as a few weeks at Christmas.

What do they do?

Groups are comprised of 12-25 adults, and meet under the oversight of trained community group leaders. Groups vary in age and demographic. We hope that all groups would be diverse, but no one would be the only person in their stage of life in the group. Each group meets for about 90 minutes getting to know each other and discussing questions that are based on that morning’s sermon.

What about my kids?

Some groups bring their kids and they participate while others have childcare provided on sight. Some parents prefer to have childcare at their own home and Grace will reimburse this cost. It’s really up to what the parents want to do.

How do I join?

Three ways: First, you can come to our community group kickoff event Sunday, August 28 at 5pm at our office at 304 Heritage Drive. Second, you can go to the map below and email any of the group leaders. Third, you can email Jim Davis at
